Tastefully Yours,

I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite food quotes.

As a little girl in the 70’s, I grew up watching Julia Child. Back in the day when PBS was the only “Food Network”, she was “the” celebrity tv chef. She inspired me at a young age, and so I devote this page to Julia, the iconic “French Chef”.

Bon Appetit!

Julia Child once said:

“I was 32 when I started cooking; up until then, I just ate.”

“If you’re afraid of butter, just use cream.”

“The only time to eat diet food is while you’re waiting for the steak to cook.”

“It’s so beautifully arranged on the plate, you know someone’s fingers have been all over it.”

“I wouldn’t keep him around long if I didn’t feed him well.”

“Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”

“I enjoy cooking with wine, sometimes I even put it in the food I’m cooking.”

“You have to eat to cook. You can’t be a good cook and be a noneater. I think eating is the secret to good cooking.”

“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.”

“Always remember: if you’re alone in the kitchen and you drop the lamb, you can always just pick it up. Who’s going to know?”
